The true protagonists of the history of Castillo de Canena and to whom our family has been linked for almost two and a half centuries. In the Alto Guadalquivir Valley, between the Sierras de Cazorla and Mágina, is the land where these family olive trees are located, which make up a beautiful irrigated farm from which we harvest each and every one of our olives. With them we elaborate the Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the highest quality, of three classic varieties such as Picual, Arbequina and Royal.
At Castillo de Canena we cover the entire value chain. That is, from the meticulous care of the trees until the oil reaches the point of sale in 60 countries around the world. That is why we take special care of our sustainable olive groves, finite resources from which we obtain the most precious material: their fruit, the olives with which we make our premium AOVES.
Biodiversity and regenerative agriculture
are one of our big bets
Our olive groves are the perfect habitat for native living species, plants and animals, to have a suitable environment and to be able to relate harmoniously with the surrounding environment, establishing a plural natural balance. To promote this biodiversity, we are engaged in numerous projects for the recovery of fauna, flora and especially birds. An ecosystem that favors all species, including our olive trees.
Taking care of the environment and keeping it in mind in each and every decision we make at Castillo de Canena is one of the basic pillars to ensure the future, not only of our olive groves and our oils, but also of the planet we live in.
